What salaries for tech founders at The Galion Project ? 2024 Edition
SUMMARY
Following our 2021 Founders' Salary Survey, here is the 2023 update! After two years of a tense economic context for French Tech, what are the consequences on the salaries of founders?
This survey of 215 Galleon members shows us that this fairly sudden change in the situation for French Tech has sometimes had an unexpected impact on Galleon salaries. Indeed, the gap between start-ups seems to have widened according to their level of maturity. Our sample is based on 215 Galleon member respondents who all raised funds, compared to 192 respondents in 2021. This panel is represented by 37 women and 178 men. It should also be noted that 79% of them are CEOs.
Summary of the investigation:
• Wages that stand up to the context
- Remuneration based on funds raised
- Remuneration according to the number of employees
- Remuneration based on profitability
- Remuneration according to family situation and age
- Lack of parity between founders and female founders
• Focus on partial cash-out
